Aim of the Department
The purpose of the Department of Economics and Finance, in order to meet the needs of both public and private sectors at all levels, is to train qualified leaders who are able to manage and adapt to the dynamic structure of the changing global business life, anticipate the opportunities and threats created, have economic and financial equipment, and have sustainable environmental and ethical sensitivity.

Target of the Department
The main objectives of the Department of Economics and Finance are to train managers and leaders who have the required analysis skills in the fields of economics and finance, to follow scientific literature and current developments; who have ethical values, questioning, criticizing, producing ideas and solutions, and developing entrepreneurship and self-confidence.

Career Opportunities
Graduates of the Department of Economics and Finance can be employed in decision making and supervisory positions such as managers, experts, inspectors, and financial advisors in all sectors, particularly in banks and financial market institutions. In addition to that, our graduates have the opportunity to continue their academic career by continuing to graduate and doctorate level programs.

Departments Allowing Horizontal Transfer
The department accepts students with lateral transfer within quotas in accordance with “Regulations Regarding the Transition between Programs at the Higher Education Institutions and Programs under the Bachelor’s Degree Program, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Transfer among the Associate / Undergraduate Programs”.

Departments Allowing Vertical Transfer
Vocational school graduates may continue to four-years undergraduate education in case of meeting the conditions indicated in the relevant regulation.
