Our department follows a multidisciplinary approach and encourages our students to learn a second language and to study at European and US universities, where it has international agreements.
Our students absorb basic knowledge of international relations, development and interstate relations with courses such as introduction to political science, history of political thought, introduction to international relations, statistics, economics and law for the first four semesters (two years), while studying politics for the next four semesters (last two years) learn how the theory came into practice (or failed).
Over the past two years, courses are focused on global and changes and politics. Istanbul Okan University International Relations Department offers a course program on the place of the Middle East and Eurasia regions, the place of our country in the global system, which has been negotiated with the European Union, and its relations with the surrounding regions and countries.
