    Pharmacy is the science that studies the production, distribution, development and interactions of drugs in the human body. People who have competence at every stage from production of the drug to delivery to the patient are called pharmacists. Pharmacy faculties provide education in departments such as Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Toxicology, and other professional sciences. The pharmacist is the closest healthcare consultant for patients and has a very important role in directing patients.

    The aim of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University is to educate pharmacists who care about pharmaceutical care, has the necessary knowledge and skills in the formulation and quality control of drugs, the mechanisms of action of drugs used in treatment, physical, chemical, pharmacological and toxicological analysis of pharmaceutical products, providing information to assist patients in the treatment process, advising the patient’s relative and prepares pharmaceutical active ingredients to serve in every field related to pharmacy.

    Having high job opportunities after graduation and being a respected profession about human health are among the reasons why many young people want to have this profession.

    Graduates of the department can work as academics in freelance or hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical industry, public institutions, research institutes or universities.
