Sports Coaching Programme will equip the students with the knowledge, practical skills and experience needed for a professional career in today’s world where sports has become an industry.
The aim of the Sports Coaching Programme at Fenerbahçe University is to train coaches, fitness trainers, sports performance analysts who will play a leading role in training athletes on the national and international arena in many sports branches.
The programme is designed with a balance of knowledge and practical skills to prepare the students for a successful career in the sports coaching field who will have the competency to promote participation in sports and enhance the performance of athletes and teams.
The students will study the psychological and physical aspects of coaching, while gaining an excellent background in general health and fitness education and they will gain the key skills employers are looking for.
Graduates can find employment as teachers of physical or health education or work as a sports administrator, a fitness centre manager or a sports performance analyst.
The Sports Coaching Bachelor Degree Programme Graduates; will be equipped with skills in leadership, accountability, communication, teamwork, motivation and psychology.
The graduates will have knowledge of sports coaching theories and their application, conditioning and fitness training, sports psychology, and officiating sports.
The graduates will have knowledge of the science behind coaching. They will have the skills and knowledge necessary to improve individual athletes and teams using psychology, physiology and the biomechanics of sports performance.
The graduates will be able to guide improvement on a sustained basis and understand the needs and progress of the athletes they work with, set the vision and strategy, and have the competency to build and maintain relationships with athletes, other coaches and other people involved.
The graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for the developing sports industry and they will be ready for the competitive environment of the national and international area.
