Atatürk University Civil Engineering Department was established in 1986. Approximately 200 students are enrolled in the formal and evening education programs of our department each year. Civil Engineering Department includes 6 departments. These:
Geotechnical Division,
Hydraulic Department,
Department of Mechanics,
Transportation Department,
Department of Construction,
Department of Building Materials.
The Department of Civil Engineering, affiliated with the Institute of Science, conducts undergraduate and doctoral programs. Within the Civil Engineering Department, there are Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Transportation and Building Materials and Applied Mechanics Laboratories. In these laboratories, undergraduate and graduate student experiments, scientific studies and revolving funds are carried out. Our department continues its educational activities with 10 Professors, 8 Associate Professors, 13 Doctor Instructors and 12 Research Assistants. Civil Engineering Department is an accredited department by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Education Programs (MÜDEK).
