The programme of Theology (Ilahiyat) consists of three sub-deparments,
namely ‘Basic Islamic Sciences’, ‘Sciences of Philosophy and Religion’ and
‘History and Arts of Islam’.
Basis Islamic Sciences includes
Arabic Language and Rethoric,
Recitation of the Holy Qur’an and Science of Qiraah (Reading the Qur’an),
Tafsir (Qur’anic Commentary),
Hadith,
Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence),
Kalam (Islamic Theology)
and Tasawwuf (Sufism).
