Our department consists of individuals with professional ethics who can comprehend space and life in order to increase the natural environment, socio-economic structure and spatial quality, who can make decisions in the analysis and planning processes, take initiative and carry out teamwork, taking into account the principles of urbanism, planning principles and public benefit, and aims to train urban planners.

In addition to the theoretical courses, the 4-year undergraduate education, which is mainly applied, is shaped in the main backbone of 8 planning studio courses. Planning and analysis are carried out in Turkey’s various settlements. Field studies carried out in cities, which are a kind of laboratory of the department, increase the experience of the students.

Graduates of the Department of City and Regional Planning can work in the public and private sectors. In addition, graduates can find job opportunities in many areas that require planning discipline or due to the interdisciplinary nature of the profession.

Traditionally, our department organizes introductory events and student colloquiums every year to ensure that students take an active role in the education process.
