Economics is the science of decision-making. The discipline includes the study of production, exchange and consumption of material goods and services.

Economists build models and analyse data to understand how people make choices and how economies function.

Those who study economics first and foremost learn the differences between microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomics involves the behaviour of individual markets, such as households and firms, and their interactions. Macroeconomics, on the other hand, involves looking at the entire economy as a whole.

The Economy Programme at Fenerbahçe University equips the students with a solid framework with the fundamentals of banking and accounting and core analytics, such as financial and managerial accounting, statistical analysis, and corporate finance.

The programme covers a variety of different business areas including; entrepreneurship, innovation, technology management and international business which will enable the students to become capable and knowledgeable business professionals.

The programme’s goal is to provide the students with a clear understanding of economic systems and produce professionals who will be prepared to take on the challenges of the dynamic and fast-paced business world.

The Economy Bachelor Degree Programme Graduates; will be equipped with knowledge of economic theories and systems. They will have developed analytical and decision-making skills critical for success and able to apply the concepts to real businesses.

The graduates will have knowledge of functional areas of business; accounting, finance, information technology, management, and marketing. They will have knowledge in core areas with an integrative view of economic concepts and the ability to interpret, analyse and present data.

The graduates will have knowledge of how markets work and why it matters and the roles of entrepreneurship & innovation in modern economies. The graduates will have the skills to analyse economic issues and tackle challenges that have both national and international importance.

The graduates will have a clear, holistic understanding of economic principles, concepts and ideas within the wider framework of the social and political environment.
